Who is Shah Rukh Khan, asks Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa amid protest against Pathaan

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that Shah Rukh Khan did not call him about any issues. If he does, the CM will investigate the Pathaan protests.

Himanta Biswa Sarma said he does not know anything about Shah Rukh Khan or Pathaan.

In the midst of Assam's Bajrang Dal's violent protests against Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, which is set to be released on January 25, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Who is Shah Rukh Khan? I'm not familiar with him or his film Pathaan." The Assamese film Dr. Bezbarua -Part 2 will also be released, and the people of Assam should see it, the chief minister said when asked about the protest at Narengi's city theatre. Himanta stated that many Bollywood stars contact him prior to the release of their films in case of protests, but Shah Rukh Khan has not called him. "Khan has not called me about the problem, despite the fact that many in Bollywood have. But if he does, I will.

Hindutva groups have been protesting Pathaan's Besharam Rang song, in which Deepika is seen wearing a saffron bikini. Following the protests, the censor board suggested a few changes, and the film is now set to be released to great acclaim.

Bajrang Dal has stated that the film "insults" the Hindu religion and will not be released in Gujarat. Gujarat multiplex owners have sought protection for their theaters.

Several BJP leaders, including Madhya Pradesh home minister Narottam Mishra, speak out against the Besharam Rang song. PM Modi was said to have mentioned the Pathaan controversy when he advised BJP leaders to avoid making unnecessary comments.
